06.03Sylvia Fowles Injures Her Knee – Out 4-6 weeks
Chicago Sky center Sylvia Fowles will miss the next four to six weeks with a sprained knee, the team announced Wednesday.
Fowles injured the knee during the third quarter of Tuesday’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks and was taken to the University of Illinois Medical Center for X-rays and an MRI. No surgery is necessary, and she will begin treatment on the knee tomorrow.
Fowles is also a member of the US Olympic Team. With 4 – 6 weeks out this could hurt her opportunity. It would be to her advantage to get back as soon as possible.
A rookie out of LSU, Fowles averaged 10.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game in five games this season.
